The Stray
Just beyond our front door lies 200 acres of protected parkland, legally set aside as open common land back in 1778 to preserve views and access to Harrogate’s mineral springs. It’s the town’s green lung — walk it, picnic on it, or simply admire the view many of our rooms look directly out over.
Valley Gardens
A gentle five-minute walk from the hotel, these Grade II listed gardens are home to more mineral springs than anywhere else in Europe, along with sweeping lawns, colourful borders, and the ornate Sun Pavilion. It’s one of the loveliest green spaces in the north of England.
The Royal Pump Room Museum
A short stroll away, this striking octagonal building was raised in 1842 over Harrogate’s most famous sulphur well.
